Maze Runner Race - Canicross

THE RACE WILL BE RUN UNDER THE SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES IN OPERATION AT THE TIME, THIS MAY MEAN WE USE A STAGGERED START RATHER THAN A MASS START, ALL ENTRANTS WILL BE ADVISED IN ADVANCE.ALL RUNNERS ARE REQUESTED TO BRING THEIR OWN WATER AS NO DRINKS STATION CAN BE PROVIDED TO AVOID CONTACT ETC. HAND SANITISING DISPENSERS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE START/FINISH AREA.

WE HAVE SELECTED A COVID-19 OFFICER WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING EVERYBODY REMAINS AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE ON THE DAY.

The race is within the beautiful scenery/greenery of Pembrey Country Park and the surrounding woodland and beach, no public highways are used. The distance you run will depend on your choices at the 3 marked junctions and will be a minimum of 10k and a maximum of 20k.

The race will start at 10.00am - runners are requested to register and obtain their numbers by 9.45am at the latest. Toilets will be available outside and inside the cafe at the visitors centre near the start.

Whilst these are not mud races we are dependent on the weather so be prepared for some soft ground, standing water and muddy patches.

It is strongly recommended that runners wear appropriate clothing for the time of year, especially footwear, to avoid injuries.

There will be a top quality medal awarded to all finishers and also trophies will be awarded to the first three finishers.

The winners name will also be entered onto the main trophy which will be the Warrior’s Shield, there will be photo opportunities and a race video.

All runners are requested to wear their numbers clearly on the front of their running vests/shirts. The course will be well marshaled and manned water stations will be in place. By entering you agree it’s at your own risk and you will not hold the organisers liable/responsible for any injuries sustained before, during or after the event.  First Aiders and an ambulance will be available on site.

There are also plenty of places around the course for spectators to watch and the cafe will also be open.

Entrie fees are normally non refundable but, in the event that we have to reschedule due to the Coronavirus lockdown, entrants will be able to transfer their entry to any of our races in 2021 or have a full refund
